What is the meaning of the CWS logo?
The koru is a traditional Māori symbol that represents new life, growth, strength, and peace. It is inspired by the shape of an unfurling silver fern frond, which is commonly found in New Zealand. The spiral shape of the koru conveys the idea of perpetual movement, while its inner coil suggests a return to the point of origin, which implies themes of belonging, continuity, and renewal. This symbol is deeply embedded in the cultural and spiritual life of the Māori people.
